this is for the people who went through trauma and didn’t come out of it with thicker skin. but, instead, came back with sensitivity to the world and a deep sadness that won’t go away. some of us went through something and lost a piece of ourselves; our broken hearts never healed quite right afterwards. i see you and i feel you and i am you. it’s going to be okay.
Many moments are filled with beauty. Like a quiet sunrise. Or a breath of fresh air. Or a warm cup of tea. They’re simple, of course. But sometimes it’s the simplest of things that are the most meaningful.
A tree does not announce as it grows. It just does so quietly. Gradually. With serenity. No one else must know, as long as the tree itself knows that it’s getting there.
You have done it, my friend. You have gotten through another day. You have succeeded, or you have learned. You have laughed, or you have become rejuvenated. You have done it, and yet another day awaits you tomorrow. Another beautiful day. Are you ready? -na
